Mozilla Firefox over the recent years has become a very big name in the internet browser race competing with the likes of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari etc. Personally for me, I have been using Firefox for over a year now and it feels extremely fast and efficient.

Chances are if you are concerned about your security on the internet, you have already come across this web browser. Even if you are not, Firefox is still a very lightweight and fast browser and can vastly improve your browsing experience on the internet.

In this post, I will talk about the best 5 Firefox Extensions that I have been using that greatly improved my productivity. Hopefully, you will also find something useful from this blog. So, buckle up and lets goooo!

  1. Dark Reader

If you are a fan of Dark mode, this extension is definitely for you. This extension applies Dark mode basically to every website that you browse. No looking for dark mode alternatives for each website separately. Install it and it automatically applies dark mode to each website. You won’t have to worry about anything. If you wish you can also toggle between light mode and dark mode whenever you wish.

If you work long hours at your computer this extension can be a game changer for your eyes, straining your eyes less and thus allowing you to work more productively.

2. uBlock Origin

Are you tired of loading a website which have Ads more than content? If you are, then uBlock Origin is for you.

It is a completely open-source privacy protection web extension. It blocks third-party cookies and trackers on any website, thus blocking any ads. It even works on youtube, so you can watch seamless videos on youtube without any ads. It saves a lot of internet for by not loading any ads and also loads the website much faster, which can greatly improve your productivity.

3. Enhancer for youtube

If you use youtube regularly for your work or in general, you might want to give this extension a try.

This extension comes packed with all sorts of features that allow you, among other things, to manage ads as you wish, control the playback speed(best feature in my opinion) and the volume level with the mouse wheel, automate repetitive tasks such as selecting the appropriate playback quality, configure dozens of keyboard shortcuts to control YouTube like a pro.

4. Tab Session Manager

Ever thought how cool it would have been if you could save your all your tabs for a particular session so that the next day or even after few days when you a open that session all your tabs get loaded instantly.

Well, tab session manager does exactly that for you. You can save all the tabs that you have been looking into for a particular project which can be super productive when you come back to that project after a few days. This can be a game-changer in terms of your productivity.

5. Snap links plus

Lastly, we have snap links. Personally, I haven’t used Snap Links much. But it can be very useful when you are researching something and you have to open multiple links.

You can open multiple links into new tabs by drawing a selection rectangle. Many other actions are available for the selected links such as open links in one new window, open each link in separate windows, copy links to the clipboard and more.

These are my top 5 recommendations for Firefox Extensions for productivity improvement. If you liked my content, please consider dropping me a clap. It gives me encouragement to write more content.
